A federal lawmaker, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar , honourable representing Lagelu and Akinyele Federal constituency, has been commended by stakeholders for his impact in the education sector and others in his constituency
Hon Sugar had on Thursday 27th July 2017 innuagurated a 3 block of classroom at Community Primary school in Arikuyeri of Lagelu local government area
The Olugbon of Ile-igbon in Lagelu local government, Oba Sabitu Oyetunde 1, in his remark expresses satisfaction over how Lagelu and Akinyele Constituency had been represented at the National Assembly by Hon. Sugar and prayed that God will shower him with his heart desires and sky is just the starting point for him.
“I was privileged to be a car owner during an empowerment programme sponsored by Hon. Sugar before I became the Baale. he provided us with basic amenities needed, such as constant power supply, renovations, pipe borne water and I hope he includes the building of my Palace to his Projects list,” Chief Bashiru Adesina, Baale Ejioku said.
“Chief Ajisefini Isiak, Baale of Alagudu said in his speech that Hon. Sugar is laying down good legacies for youths, and it is clear enough to know that this is the Era of youths. He therefore admonished youths, to follow the footsteps of Hon. Sugar to make Nigeria a better place”.
Comrade. Fatoki, Head Teacher of community primary school, admonished Hon. Sugar to keep up the good work he has embarked on, because every good turn deserves another, ‘’his good works will take him places he desires and we are ready to back him up all the way,” he said.
Other people who spoke at the event lauded the lawmakers for his contributions to the development of the state and urge other political office holders to emulate such gesture.
In his speech, Hon Olatoye said “This project is one of my many constituency projects at improving infrastructural levels in the educational development of Oyo state and in particular, the good people of Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency who voted me into the federal house of representatives in Abuja”.
“Ladies and gentle men Let me inform you that , conducive atmosphere for learning enhances qualitative education which is the only gateway to greater future of our pupils, wards and children who are leaders of tomorrow”.
In views of the above, i implore all of us in the society to give education the priority it deserves in families and the society at large.
“I want to reiterate this again, no government can solely bear the burden of education in its entirety without the supports of private individuals, households, corporate agencies, and organisations. I therefore call on the good people of Oyo state to support the good work of our amiable leader, Governor Emeritus Abiola Ajimobi, Pegunrun and koseleri 1 of oyo state in restoring the lost glory of education in Oyo state at large”.
“By the grace of God, almost 10units of this facility are ongoing across Oyo state and shall be commissioned soon. Worthy to mention, is the postgraduate lecture theatre at the Institute of conflicts and peace studies of our own prestigious University of Ibadan under construction by my humble self in conjunction with our foundation, OLATOYE SUGAR FOUNDATION (OSF) which shall be commissioned before the end of the year God’s willing”.
He however commended teachers for great works they are doing in nurturing the young ones into adults that would be useful to themselves and also add value to their society and urges governments at all levels to restructure the present emoluments and incentives of an average Nigerian teacher because their contributions are invaluable to our much desired educational advancement as a nation.
