Raipur will come alive in the early hours of Sunday, March 1, 2026, as the SK Raipur Marathon takes over the city with a strong message of fitness and social awareness. Organisers have officially announced the route map and flag-off timings for the much-anticipated event.
The marathon is being organised by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha and the Indian Institute of Event Management (IIEMR) in association with SK Finance and South Eastern Coalfields. The event will be held under the theme, “Let’s Run Towards a Healthier India and a Safer Digital India.” The official poster of the marathon was unveiled by Chhattisgarh Inspector General Badrinarayan Meena.
Speaking on the occasion, IIEMR Director and marathon organiser Mukesh Mishra said the event aims to promote fitness alongside social awareness, particularly around digital safety. He added that the presence of youth icon and celebrity guest Rannvijay Singha is expected to boost participants’ morale and add excitement to the event.
According to the organisers, the race will begin from Spre Walk at Marine Drive, Telibandha. The route will pass through Kamal Vihar Chowk, Katora Talab Chowk, PWD Bridge Chowk, Amlidih Chowk, Rajendra Nagar Chowk and Kamal Vihar Flyover. From the designated turning point, runners will take a U-turn and follow the same route back to the finish point at Spre Walk, Marine Drive.
The 10-kilometre race will follow the designated route, while the 21-kilometre half marathon will consist of two loops of the course. Participants in the 3-kilometre Dream Run will return from Jal Vihar Chowk.
The 21-kilometre half marathon will report at 4:00 a.m., with flag-off scheduled for 4:30 a.m. The 10-kilometre race will begin at 6:30 a.m. after reporting at 6:00 a.m., while the 3-kilometre Dream Run will be flagged off at 7:00 a.m., with reporting at 6:30 a.m.
The Bib Expo and kit distribution for registered participants will take place on February 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Spre Walk, Marine Drive, Telibandha.
Organisers have urged participants to arrive on time and join what is expected to be one of the largest fitness and awareness events in the city.
