Lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly Senator Abdulfatai Buhari on Wednesday sponsored a bill for the establishment of University of Agriculture and Technology Oke Ogun
The bill which was presented during the plenary passed through the first reading
Recall that the lawmaker sponsored the same bill in the last Assembly and got to Report State before the close of the Assembly
According to a statement signed by his Media Office, the development is line with the lawmaker’s commitment to ensure that Oke Ogun area of Oyo state enjoys federal government presence in the area of education,
“It is our effort and prayer that the Senate gives it accelerated consideration this time.”
The Senator also receives delegates of National Association of Saki Elites,Abuja Chapter,led by their President Chief Toogun Rtd
Other members of the team includes, Alhaji AbdKarim Hassan (Secretary), Alhaji Lawal Duduyemi Rtd(Deputy Clerk,Senate) Bar Kayode Bodunrin.
They urged the senator to work on revitalization of the Federal Government abandoned projects in Oke Ogun such as Ikere George Dam,Okerete Border International Market and the worrisome unemployment rate of the youths in Oke Ogun.
In the meeting was the member House Committee on Appropriation Hon Olumide Ojerinde representing Irepo/Olorusogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency,
who in the same manner with Senator Buhari,identified the status of these projects in 2020 Appropriation Bill and restated his commitment to the development of Oke Ogun.
