The Oyo State Government has urged residents to make use of designated emergency lines for prompt response to security threats, crimes, accidents, and other emergencies across the state.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, said residents can contact the Nigeria Police Control Room through 08081768614 or 07055495413 in times of emergency.
He also reminded the public that the state’s toll-free emergency response line, 615, remains available for immediate assistance.
According to the commissioner, the emergency lines are operational round the clock and should be used to report criminal activities, security concerns, road accidents, and other situations requiring urgent intervention.
The government urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and accurate information that could help prevent crimes and safeguard lives and property.
The statement was signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, on June 4, 2026.
