Salaries and Wages, IST gets new boss as FG names Owasanoye as new ICPC chairman

The Federal Government has approved the appointed of Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, as the new Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.

 

The acting president Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, who announced the appointment yesterday also named Barrister Ekpo Nta, as the Full-time Commissioner for Salaries and Wages.

A statement signed by the Director Press, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Bolaji Adebiyi, and made available to journalists named Dr. Grace N. Chinda, Okolo Titus, Barr. Obiora Igwedebiayi, Mrs. Olubukola Balogun, Group Captain Sam Ewang (Rtd.) Justice Adamu Bello, Hannatu Mohammed, Abdullahi Maikano Saidu, Dr. Sa’ad Alanamu, Yahaya Umar Daudu, Khamis Ahmed Mailantark, Maimuna Aliyu and Professor Musa Usman as members.

 

According to the statement, the appointment of the Chairman is for 5 years, while the tenure for all the members is 4 years. Also, these appointments are subject to Senate Dead workers still on Delta government payroll confirmation.

 

Also, Alhaji Dauda Yahaya, was named the full-time Commissioner, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, while the following were named part time commissioners, Hon. Garba Musa Gulma, Barr. Victoria Nnenna, Chukwuani, Mr. Geoffery Yeilong, Prof. Ropo Shekon, and Ahmed Mahmud Gumel. Comrade Isa Aremu (NLC) and Mr. Chuma Nwankwo (NECA) were named as members. The new appointments according to the statement are for a period of 5 years.

The statement added that the Chairman of the Commission is High Chief Richard Egbule, while Mr. E. A. Thompson is the Secretary. Also, while Siaka Isaiah Idoko was named Chairman/ CEO Investment and Security Tribunal, the following were named full-time members: Mr. Nosa Osemwengie, Abubakar A. Ahmad, Albert L. Otesile ,Emeka Madubuike, Kasumi Garba Kurfi, Edward O. Ajayi, Onyemaechi E. M. Elujekor and Mamman Bukar Zargana. The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission has Engr. Chidi K. C. Izuwah as it’s Director General.
