Rising Insecurity in Iresa-Adu, As UK Based Prince Disburses Financial Aid to Security Agencies

London based Iresa-Adu PRINCE ADEBAYO KAYODE, popularly known as PRINCE ADEBAYO of IRESA has disbursed financial aids through his foundation Iresa Royal Foundation, to Security Agencies in Iresa-Adu community due to the insistent robberies and security lapses in Iresa-Adu township.

On Sunday 7th July, report emerged that, “there has been recent rise in criminal activities in Iresa-Adu. Most recently, businesses were raided and completely emptied overnight by some bad elements. On Monday 8th of July, elders in community held a security meeting to determine how best to tackle the problem. This meeting was crashed by residents who came with news of a just concluded daylight robbery. A resident’s home was burgled while the meeting was ongoing. This incident put an immediate end to the ongoing meeting.

On Friday 5th July, prior to the incidents of thefts, a sad news emerged that the community had lost the ‘IYALODE’ of Iresa-Adu. The community in a state of despair was further thrown into mourning.

Prince Adebayo of Iresa, was an invitee to the ‘OYO STATE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS SUMMIT’ held by the Executive Governor SEYI MAKINDE led administration in London, United Kingdom on 19th May 2023. The Governor in his speech emphasised the necessary need for stakeholders, residents, and indigenes of Oyo State to join hands with the government in contributing and investing in developmental projects and business investments within their communities. The Executive Governor emphasised the need to maintain community peaceful coherence in order to attract local and foreign investors.

Alligning with the Governor’s vision, on 25th July 2023 Prince Adebayo donated handsomely to the public commissioning of the CIVIL DEFENCE Area Command in Iresa-Adu. Furthermore, the Prince has in the past contributed to the Divisional Police within Surulere Local Government.

‘STUDENT RELIEF LOAN’ was disbursed in Iresa-Adu in January 2024, with the attendance of Oyo State Commissioner Wasilat Adegoke, the Commissioner for Youths and Sport Development and her cabinet as special guest of honour at the commissioning of the ‘Student Relief Program’ at Iresa-Adu Town Hall, Iresa-Adu. The ‘Student Relief Loan’ program solely sponsored by Prince Adebayo through ‘Iresa Royal Foundation’, allows Iresa-Adu higher institution students to borrow money and given the option to pay back in the individual student’s choose time.
