In celebration of Children’s Day, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao Akala, the lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency and Chairman of the Youth in Parliament Forum, has awarded a full university scholarship to Adeleke Joshua Adedamola, a secondary school student who emerged with the highest JAMB score in Ogbomoso for 2025.

Joshua, a student of Smith International Baptist Academy, Seminary, Ogbomoso, scored an impressive 350 in the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), earning accolades across the constituency.

To personally commend the young scholar, Hon. Akala held a video call with Joshua and described him as “an intelligent boy with great promise.” He also spoke with Joshua’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adeleke, to celebrate the family’s joy and commend their role in their son’s academic success.

Hon. Akala reiterated his commitment to promoting and rewarding academic excellence among children and youths in his constituency. He pledged to continue creating opportunities for young people to thrive.

“Go out and continue shining, star boy. Keep the flag flying high—I’ll be rooting for you,” he added. .
