The immediate past minister of youth and sport Chief Sunday Akin Dare on Wednesday joined members of Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ Oyo state council for Road Walk and Indoor games in Ibadan.

 

Road Walk and Indoor games day is part of activities marking year 2023 NUJ press week .

The former  minister who powered the event was represented by Chief Olawale Ademola , a frontline politician in Oyo state and member of governing council board member of Centre for Management evelopment (CMD).

Speaking with Journalists during the excercise, the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland said he was happy to be part of the event which according to him is a must do for fitness and mental alertness

Dare who congratulated NUJ for this year annual press week however urged journalists to always ensure they engage in sporting activities and regular excercises.

In his welcome adresd NUJ chairman Comrade Ademola Babalola said the essence of the road walk is to make the body fit while the game is to promote love and unity among journalists in the state

He hinted that the union do hold period excercise and urge members to always engage in one form of excercise or the others

After the walk from NUJ to Allen, Oke Bola and back to NUJ, journalists also plays Ayo Olopon, Table Tennis. Draft, Ludo and others.
