The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, has called on the Christians to cease the opportunity of the occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ to offer special prayers for the betterment of Ogbomoso land and Nigeria as a whole.
According to the lawmaker, Christians must be in one accord to pray for the progress of the nation.
In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ayoade Peter, Ogunwuyi said, “as we celebrate this year’s Christmas, I desire to urge the Christians to embrace the teachings of the holy Bible and emulate our Lord Jesus Christ.
“As a town, we must continue to live in peace in personal relations with one another regardless of race, political and religious differences.
“It is expected of us to always pray for Ogbomoso land as our Jerusalem in order to build a prosperous town”.
While wishing the Christians’ community a fruitful celebration, Ogunwuyi ceased the opportunity to assure the people of good representation and wished the good people of Ogbomoso land at home and in diaspora merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
