Soladoye explained that the management of the school is aware of the sad incident that happened in the University of Ibadan some weeks ago where some serial criminals burgled the school ‘Zik Hall’ which leads to harassment and carting away of students belonging and properties.

“The incident of our neighbouring institution has moved the management of the school in briefing up and fortifying the hostel security.
Although, God is our protector, but will do everything humanly doable to curb the bad development.”

He further enjoined the student of the institution to be extra vigilant as they are part of the system and a third force that can ensures adequate security in the school.

He also noted that the institution is maintaining a synergic collaboration and good relationship with the Oyo state Police Command, Department of State Security (DSS), the National Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies in the state.

He added that the Rector of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi with all sense of responsibility have his door open to complaints and vital information from all students.

In another development, while reacting to the incident of a report filed by National Insight’s Kehinde Ayanboade and the punch newspaper on the case of a missing ND1 student of the school’s computer science department who can be identified as Damilola Bada, Alh. Soladoye regarded the incident as ‘unfortunate’ adding that the attention of the school has not been called to the incident.

Soladoye who concluded that the missing Damilola might be of ‘questionable character’, adding that the report stated that he have once been missed, further explained that the school had since made a ground rule that all students must vacate the school hostel immediately the school goes on mid – semester break or other holidays.

He then enjoins all parents to look after and monitor their wards whenever the school is on break as the institution will not be responsible for any cause when the school is on recess.
