Police Resist Bandits’ attack In Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command has said its operatives have repelled bandits’ attack on Sunday afternoon in Dogon Karfe community in Bakura Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Mohammed Shehu, confirmed the incident while fielding questions from Journalists in a telephone interview.

The PPRO explained that the attack was foiled, adding that nobody was kidnapped and nobody was injured from both the security agencies and the bandits’ sides.

He also further disclosed that the bandits have been taken advantage of the deep forest along Zamfara and Sokoto border to unleash terror on commuters.

Recall that some months ago, the terrorists abducted about 50 guests returning from a wedding ceremony of their colleagues in Sokoto State, on the same axis.

Hence, the Police command appeal to the general public to always help the police with vital information that can lead to the arrest of criminal elements.

He assured that any useful information given to the police or sister security agencies would be treated in confidence.
