American Open University Nigeria Offers Free AI Software Development Bootcamp in Ogbomoso

Residents of Ogbomoso and it’s environs in Oyo State, are set to benefit from a free one-week intensive training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) software development, as American Open University Nigeria (A-Global) rolls out a special bootcamp aimed at equipping participants with in-demand tech skills.

According to information contained in a statement from the University ,the programme is designed to help participants become job-ready in today’s fast-evolving technology ecosystem.

The training will focus on building real-world applications while leveraging AI tools to accelerate coding and innovation.

The bootcamp, which is project-based, will run virtually from Monday to Wednesday with intensive AI coding masterclasses.

Participants will then proceed to practical sessions from Thursday to Friday, where they will build functional applications. A physical session will follow, featuring live masterclasses, app refinement, and a grand pitch competition.

Organisers disclosed that the top three participants with the best solutions during the pitch session will be awarded full Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) scholarships to study Software Engineering or Information Technology at the institution.

The pitch event is scheduled to hold at the First Floor, Adekitan Building, beside Ola Central Filing Station, High School Area, Ogbomoso.

The initiative is exclusively open to residents of Ogbomoso and aims to nurture local tech talent while providing a pathway to higher education and career advancement in the digital economy.

Interested participants can register for the programme free of charge by scanning the QR code provided on the flyer or through the institution’s official contact channels.
Organisers say the programme underscores their commitment to empowering young Nigerians with relevant digital skills, noting that “your talent is the currency—we provide the platform.”
