Police Parades Two Female Armourers Arrested in Iseyin

Two female suspected armourer who keeps ammunition for Gang of Armed Robbers were thursday paraded by the police in oyo state.

The state police commissioner CP Shina Olukolu while parading the suspect said a locally made pistol was found on them

According to Olukolu, the criminals who can be identified as Abu Ajoke, 20 and Ismaila Azeezat, 22 were arrested about 7 o’clock in the evening on the 20th of July, 2019 by the officers of the Special Anti – Robbery Squad SARS in Iseyin

Osinkolu said the duty is to conceal and convey arms and ammunition to any location where their male syndicate members would carry out their criminal activity.

Olukolu added that the two criminals confessed to a team of SARS operative at Oyo operational base that they were given the gun peace job by one ‘Fela’ and his cohorts to conceal the gun from Lagos State to evade police arrest on the way to Iseyin town where they were going to carry out their criminal activity.

In another development, the commissioner enjoins the entire citizenry of Oyo state to be vigilant and security cautious during the Ileya festival period which is a festive season prone to criminalities adding that the masses should continue in promoting community policing by giving adequate information to the police force to aide them in performing their constitutional responsibility.

He added that the police have laid down an active measures to enable the masses enjoy the upcoming Eid-l-Fitri celebration
