Oyo SWAN Seminar Holds Today

The stage is set for the Sport Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN) seminar/workshop scheduled to hold today at the Indoor Sports Hall of Lekan Salami Stadium,Adamasingba.

 

The  workshop with the theme:Towards Professionalism and Vibrancy was aimed at taking sport journalists in the state through the professionalism aspect of sport reportage and ethics of the profession.

According to the statement by the Secretary of the committee Tijani Adewale,the honourable commissioner for Information ,culture and tourism Toye Arulogun will deliver a paper on Dynamism of Sport Writing and Presentation while Mr Abiodun Ilori:a CEO Abbey Live Network and United Kingdom based Digital media expert will be taking the sport writers through Digitalization,ICT and Sports Journalism while the Zonal Director,National Broadcasting Commission(NBC)Miss Olajumoke Coker will deliver a paper on Ethics of Sports Journalism while veteran sport journalist Kayode Tijani will be talking on DOs and DONTs Of Mordern Day Sports Reportage.

The chairman of the committee Femi Okenla in the statement assured that the workshop will help in  a long way improve the knowledge of sport writers and preoare them for the tssk ahead in journalism.

Niyi Alebiosu Chairman,SWAN Oyo having assured of readiness of the Association for the event disclosed that notable stakehokders in football fraternity within and outside the state.

He thus urged members to see the workshop as an avenue to improve on the job
