Oyo REC Visits GOC 2 Mechanized Division Nigerian Army

Resident Electoral Commissioner of Oyo State, Barrister Mutiu Agboke on Monday pays a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Okwudili Fidelis Azinta at the Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi cantonment, Ibadan.

In his address, the REC stated that the purpose of his visit to the headquarters 2 Division is to thank the General Officer Commanding, officers and soldiers of the Division for their support in providing adequate security before, during and after the just concluded 2019 General Elections in Oyo State.

Barrister Mutiu, however, urged all security chiefs in the state to emulate the leadership style of General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Major General Azinta by being professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties.

The General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Okwudili Azinta, in his response, appreciated the REC and his entourage for finding time to pay a visit to the headquarters.

The GOC re-assured the REC of providing adequate security in the state at all time provided the commission are doing the right thing according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
