Oyo State Police Command debunked reports on social media that some herdsmen have gruesomely murdered some victims along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

The commands Pubilic Relation Officer SP. Adekunle Ajisebutu said the gory picture and the audio being circulated on the social media are fake hence they should be discountenanced.
According to him ,no such incident ever happened either in the aforementioned place or anywhere in the state.
Ajisebutu said further that the fake rumour is the handiwork of mischief makers who are purveyors of falsehood aimed at causing disaffection among peace loving Nigerians, pit one ethnic group against another and fan embers of animosity.
While dispelling the rumour, the command said it is resolutely committed to providing adequate security for the good people of Oyo State.
Ajisebutu also disclosed that the Commissioner of Police has ordered twenty-four hour constant vehicle patrol of all the Expressways in the state. Safer Highway, Highway Patrol and similar anti-crime patrol teams have been mandated to provide security for travellers and other citizens throughout the state.
