The Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced its local government-wide stakeholder engagement with a peace-building meeting involving party members from Ibarapa North Local Government.

The session, which took place at the party’s state secretariat in Molete, Ibadan, was presided over by the State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, who represented the State Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro.
Michael Ogunsina, Acting Publicity Secretary, Oyo PDP in a statement said
the three-hour meeting was attended by key stakeholders from Ibarapa North including the council chairman, Hon. Lateef Adebare; vice chairman, Hon. Bisi Akande; local government party chairman; member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Ojedokun; and other top party leaders such as Mrs. Funmilayo Orisadeyi of the State Executive Committee. Also present were representatives of councillors, supervisory councillors, special assistants, and respected party elders from the local government.
The meeting, according to the statement aimed at resolving internal conflicts within the party in Ibarapa North and fostering unity among members. Party sources say the reconciliation efforts were successful, with all parties pledging renewed cooperation and support for the continued growth of the PDP and the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
In attendance were other top officials of the state PDP, including Hon. Kamoru Adeyemi, Oyo South Senatorial Chairman; Michael Ogunsina, State Youth Leader; Barr. Waheed Gbadegesin, State Legal Adviser; Pastor Biodun Popoola, Assistant State Organizing Secretary; and Hon. Kunmi Adesina, State Ex-Officio.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its grassroots presence and ensuring unity ahead of future political activities.
