Oyo PDP Donates N100,000 to COVID-19 Endowment Fund, Felicitates Muslim Faithful

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo state chapter has donated the sum of N100,000 (one hundred thousand naira) to Oyo state COVID-19 Endowment Fund.

The party’s spokesman in the state, Engr Akeem Olatunji made this known to pressmen on Friday in a statement jointly signed by the state chairman of PDP, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, and the state publicity secretary, Engr Akeem Olatunji.

According to the statement, the party stated that nothing was too small to donate in support of the state government COVID-19 Taskforce as they continue to battle the spread of the disease headlong.

The party affirmed that although notable individuals and private organizations have made several donations in support of the state government to battle the pandemic but stressed that as long as the battle continues wealthy individuals, private bodies, as well as associations must continue to rally support for the government so that efforts made would have much impact.

Meanwhile the party has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls across the state on the occasion of this year’s Ramadhan and enjoined all Muslims to be more fervent in prayers as nothing is too big for God to do.

The party urged all residents in the state to help the government to help the people by adhering strictly to all safety precautions and guidelines especially during the ramadhan period.
