During the session, Akinwole promised to look into the plight of long-serving ad-hoc staff in the next batch of recruitment exercises. He noted that the Commission would carry out a general posting to ensure fair consideration for all categories of workers, including those on ad-hoc appointments.

He urged council staff to be punctual at their duty posts, stressing that discipline and dedication are essential for effective service delivery.

Also speaking, the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adewale, emphasised that the audit was not a witch-hunt but a measure to ensure orderliness and transparency within the local government system.

“Please don’t cover up for anyone. Let every worker be accountable. Anyone working elsewhere while collecting two salaries or engaging in unethical practices will be identified,” Adewale warned.
