Hon. Waheed Akintayo, the Oyo State House of Assembly lawmaker and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for Oluyole State Constituency, popularly known as Ilumoka Presenter, has continued his grassroots engagement with residents as he visited key communities under Ward 4 in the constituency.

The lawmaker, during his outreach, met with residents of Bolorunduro, Odunlade, Saka, Temidire, and two other adjoining communities, where he held interactive sessions aimed at strengthening ties with the people and assessing their immediate needs.

The visit was marked by enthusiastic reception from community representatives, who commended his responsiveness to their concerns.

Speaking during the engagements, Hon. Akintayo reiterated his commitment to inclusive representation and sustainable development across Oluyole State Constituency.

He noted that continuous interaction with constituents remains vital in delivering people-oriented governance and ensuring that their voices are adequately represented at the state level.

As part of his intervention efforts, the lawmaker donated 10 solar-powered street lights to the benefiting communities to enhance security and improve night-time visibility. He explained that the gesture was in response to requests from residents and part of his broader plan to support community development initiatives.

Hon Akintayo however appreciated governor Seyi Makinde, PDP leaders and residents of Oluyole local government for their quality leadership, consistent support and encouragements.

Reacting on behalf of the communities, Chairman General, Alaga Isiaka Lafenwa, other executives and representatives from each communities described Hon Waheed Akintayo as a promise keeper who has fulfilled the promise he made on solar powered streets lights.

The community leaders expressed gratitude to Hon. Akintayo for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful, assuring him of reciprocating his gesture.

They noted that the installation of solar street lights would go a long way in curbing insecurity and boosting socio-economic activities within the areas.

Also speaking, the first PDP chairman in ward 4, ALH Fatai Agboola popularly known as Baba Agbo who could not hide his joy with the development said Hon Waheed Akintayo tolled the path of his father who was always truthful, compassionate and dedicated.

In attendance were PDP Leaders, Hon Sikiru Gafar Olowoake, former Councillor, ALH Fatai Ogunrin, former Supervisory Councillor, PDP Women Leader, Oluyole Mrs Nike Adekunle, PDP Ward 4 Chairman, Kazeem Okunola, Super for Health, Mariam Abass, Super for Women Affairs, Selimot Adesina among others
