In a bid to cushion the effects of COVID-19 pandemic which has become a threat to the human race Hon. Jacob Bamigboye, Member, representing Oriire State Constituency in Oyo State, today (13/04/20), doled out a cash of one million naira (#1m) to his constituents.
The lawmaker, while presenting the cash gift, urged the representatives of the beneficiaries who cut across all the 155 polling units in Oriire Local Government Area, to use the money judiciously.
He further urged them to stay safe by strictly observing all the precautionary measures which range from avoiding gatherings, hands shake, physical contacts, maintaining social distancing to personal hygiene, among others which are meant to curtail the spread of the scourge.
The former council chairman also use the occasion to felicitate christians at happy Easter celebrations and prayed that the power of resurrection would heal our land and the entire world.
