The speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Michael Adesina Adeyemo was yesterday conferred with the patron of the Sport Writer Association of Nigeria Oyo state chapter
The investiture was done after a novelty match between the SWAN team and House of Assembly team which ended draw
While decorating Hon Adeyemo, the chairman SWAN Oyo State ,Niyi Alebiosu said the choice of Hon Adeyemo is based on his support for sport in the state.
Alebiosu also presented an award of outstanding pillar of support for sport and the report of SWAN summit to the speaker and urge him to read and see how he can help to improve sport in the state
In his response, Hon Adeyemo said the award will further buoy his passion for the growth of football and other sports in the state
He also promise to use his position as the number one lawmaker in the state to influence advancement of sporting activities in Oyo.
The programme was attended by football veterans, SWAN members, Lawmakers, politicians among others
