The Oyo State Government has appointed experienced football tactician Akande Fatai Adejumo-Smith as the new Technical Adviser of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso.
Adejumo-Smith signed a three-year contract with a clear mandate to lead the Ajilete Warriors back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The newly appointed coach brings extensive experience in football coaching, technical development, coach education and academy management.
According to information on his professional profile, Adejumo-Smith has served as the Technical Director of Dannaz FC Male/Female
Academies in Ikeja, Lagos State, where he is responsible for designing training models, developing coaching policies and implementing modern football training methodologies.
He has also served as the Technical Director and Chairman of Soccer Academy Prodigy, Lagos, providing coaching consultancy, football training and sports development services. In addition, he has worked as a Technical Director in a self-employed capacity and has served as a Technical Coaching and Training Consultant with VINOD FA, Agege, Lagos, overseeing coaching education and technical training programmes.
Academically, he studied Electrical/Electronic Engineering at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
With his extensive background in football coaching, technical leadership and player development, expectations are high that Adejumo-Smith will steer Crown FC back to Nigeria’s top flight by securing promotion to the NPFL.
