Oyo APC Leader, Akinlabi Commiserates  with Former NCC Boss Akande on Father’s Passing

Chief Akinyemi Akinlabi, an APC Chieftain in Oyo State, has commiserated with former Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC) Chairman and Oyo North Senatorial hopeful, Prof. Adeolu Akande, on the passing of his father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande.

Pa Akande, a revered patriarch and community leader, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 90.

In his condolence message, Akinlabi said the late nonagenarian was a rare gem whose life of discipline and sacrifice produced worthy children, among whom is Prof. Adeolu Akande, an accomplished legal luminary, academic and administrator.

He described Pa Akande as a man of honour who lived a fulfilled life, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, service and devotion to the progress of his community.

Akinlabi prayed for the peaceful repose of Pa Akande’s soul and urged the Akande family to take solace in the impactful life their patriarch lived, noting that his values would continue to inspire generations.

He further extended condolences to the people of Otu in Itesiwaju Local Government and the entire Oke Ogun region, where the late Pa Akande was highly respected as a father figure and custodian of communal harmony.
