Hon. Damilare Sunday Olusanjo DSO, popularly known as BSQUARE, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly seat representing Ogbomoso North Local Government under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Olusanjo made the declaration during a meeting with party leaders, elders, stakeholders, youths and supporters in Ogbomoso, where he reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the PDP despite setbacks from the 2023 election.
In his address, the aspirant recalled that although he contested for the seat in 2023 and did not secure the party ticket, he remained steadfast in supporting the party’s activities and grassroots structures. He revealed that he once considered leaving the party due to frustration and feelings of neglect, but was persuaded to stay by party elders who encouraged him to remain patient and committed.
Highlighting his community development efforts, Olusanjo listed several empowerment initiatives carried out through the BSQUARE Group and Movement, including provision of jobs to over 150 residents, distribution of free JAMB forms to students, scholarship support to LAUTECH and secondary school students, cash empowerment for traders, large-scale food distributions, free fuel support for transport operators, PVC sensitization campaigns, and the provision of vocational equipment to beneficiaries.
He stated that the interventions were carried out out of genuine passion for the people and not for political gain, stressing that leadership is defined by impact rather than title.
Olusanjo assured the people of Ogbomoso North that, if elected in 2027, he would be an accessible and accountable representative who would champion youth empowerment, women’s development, educational advancement and pro-people legislation at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
He called on party leaders, stakeholders and residents of the constituency to support his aspiration, promising to run a campaign anchored on service, unity and sustainable development.
The declaration has added momentum to early political activities within Ogbomoso North as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually gather pace.
