The immediate past Minister of Power and APC governorship aspirant, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has expressed appreciation to the people of Oyo State for their overwhelming support during his official declaration of intent to contest the 2027 governorship election.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro, Adelabu thanked party leaders, artisans, traders, farmers, religious and community leaders, student associations, and APC members across the state’s 33 local government areas for turning out in large numbers to make the event a success.
According to the statement, the turnout and show of solidarity were unprecedented in the political history of the state.
“Oloye Adelabu is overwhelmed by the massive support he has received since resigning as Minister of Power to pursue the APC governorship ticket in Oyo State,” Awogboro stated.
Adelabu reiterated his commitment to repositioning Oyo State and restoring its pace-setting status for the benefit of the state and the country at large.
He also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his support and pledged his unwavering commitment to the President’s second-term ambition.
The APC governorship aspirant further called on party leaders and members across the 33 local government areas of the state to support his ambition during the party’s direct primary election, assuring them that he would not disappoint their confidence in him.
