Family Members of the late popular Nollywood actress, Folakemi Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, has frowned at the unfounded rumour being circulated by some people that the late actress and her siblings died of COVID-19 complications.
The late actress Folakemi Aremi died on the 6th of January during a brief illness while her brother Steve Onishola Technical director of Kwara Falcons Basketball Club of Ilorin died on 7th January at the age of 72 and their younger sister Mrs Janet Ademola died on the 9th January from the shock of her siblings’ death.
Information is being circulated on social media platforms that Orisabunmi contracted COVID -19 and infected other family members during the yuletide.
A member of the family Oluwaseun Adelubi, who spoke with our reporter on phone said “we have been hearing and reading the unfounded lies being circulated on social media but I can tell you its a lie, such nonsense should be ignored.
“I am not sure what those behind the lies want to achieve with their stupid act of misinforming unsuspecting members of the public with unfounded lies about the Onisola family.
He explained that Coach died in Ilorin while Orisabunmi and Aunty Buky died in Ibadan
“Death is not what anybody prays for, but their death toll in the family in last week is not about COVID-19 but just a coincidence and we have been praying to Almighty to avert such event in our family.
Meanwhile, the obsequies of the late Coach Stephen Olaniyi Onisola has been released by the family.
According to the details obtained by our reporter, wake keep will hold at No 6 Onikanga street GRA Ilorin, on the while the body of the basketball coach will be laid to rest at Aranloye Compound Olla Isin LGA Kwara state.
