A prominent Member of Oodua Progressives Union OPU have A commended Oyo state governor Engineer Oluseyi Makinde on his giant strides and achievements in the first year as office
He also commended him for appointing one of them, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige, as Special Adviser on Arts, Culture and Tourism.
Mr Ogunlowo Abiola popularly known as cocker , Coordinator South American chapter of the pan Yoruba organization said this during his congratulatory visit to Hon. Ige in his office on Friday
He noted that the appointment of Hon Ige as adviser on tourism, Arts and Culture pointed to the fact that Governor Makinde is serious in transforming the sector
“ Hon ige is a cultured person whose passion for promotion of Arts and culture cannot be underestimated and we believe he would use his wealth of experience and connection to influence positive growth in the sector”
While promising collaboration with Hon Ige’s office to develop the sector, Ogunlowo said ‘ This is a collective responsibility everyone in the sector should join hand with the government to use the platform as an alternative means of generating revenue , creating jobs and promoting creative industry
Speaking on Gov Makinde’s achievement in One year, the group noted that Oyo state has never had it so good like it is in the last one year, the impact of this administration is felt everywhere and we believe that the next few years would record greater achievements
