Onpetu Unveils Plan For  20th Coronation Anniversary 

Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran, Lagbami Osekun III, the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom has unveils activities lined up for the celebration of his 20th coronation anniversary scheduled to hold between 13-18 December, 2019.

ELLEXSLEEVES APARTMENT

The grand finale which will come up on the 18th at the Methodist Basic School, Arowomole, Ogbomoso will feature  Installation of  Engr Dotun Sanusi and the wife  would as Aare Atayese and Yeye Aare Atayese of Onpetu Kingdom in Ijeru   and and presentation of an  English Version of ‘Tokuloje’ “A history of Oba Onpetu and the Olu-Oje descendants in Yorubaland

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

According to the monarch, the major aim of the ceremony is to appreciate the Almighty God who have been with His Royal Majesty in the last 20 years of his reign as King over Onpetu Kingdom.

Dignitaries expected at the event includes  Oyo state governor, Engr, Seyi Makinde, his predecessors ,  Senator Abiola Ajimobi  and Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala,  and others while  Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Oguguniso 1 is the Royal guest of the day

 

Event lined up for the grand occasion includes:
Day 1. (A)- Friday13th Special Jumat Service at Oja-Oba Central Mosque
(B) Friday 13th Night of Praise and Testimony. Time: 10pm till dawn
Day 2. Saturday 14th – Prayer walk round the town for Nigeria, Oyo State, Ijeruland and Ogbomoso at large.
Day 3 (A) Sunday 15th Sunday Service at all Churches in Ijeruland
(B) 15th Film Show by Ore-Ofe Williams & Distribution of Bibles from 7 – 9pm
Day 4. Monday 16th Cultural Day
Day 5. Wednesday 18th Grand Finale:
-Installation of Engr Dotun Sanusi and the wife as Aare Atayese and Yeye Aare Atayese of Onpetu Kingdom in Ijeru.
-Presentation and Launching of English Version of ‘Tokuloje’ “A history of Oba Onpetu and the Olu-Oje descendants in Yorubaland.
-Cultural display by various cultural groups
-Recitation of Oriki of Onpetu progenitors.
5. The major aim of the ceremony is to appreciate the Almighty God who have been with His Royal Majesty in the last 20 years of his reign as King over Onpetu Kingdom.
6. All sons and daughters of Onpetu kingdom home and abroad are expected at the occasion.
