The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I), on Monday installed nine Mogajis (family heads) and two Baales (village heads) at a traditional ceremony held at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.

Speaking through High Chief (Senator) Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, the monarch congratulated the new title holders and charged them to uphold peace and integrity in their respective domains.

“You are the accredited representatives of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, therefore you must ensure that peace reigns supreme in your domains, as no meaningful development can be achieved without peace,” Oba Olakulehin stated.

He warned them against acts capable of tarnishing the image of the traditional institution, including land grabbing, insubordination to elders, and oppression within family circles.
