Delegates of the Olubadan-elect, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on Monday paid a sympathy visit to the Music House in Ibadan to commiserate with Dr. Yinka Ayefele over the inferno that gutted the edifice on Saturday night.
The delegation, led by Ibadan Senior Chief Lekan Alabi, the Maye Olubadan, conveyed Oba Ladoja’s solidarity message to the ace gospel singer and media entrepreneur.
They prayed for God’s replenishment of the losses recorded in the fire outbreak, which destroyed critical broadcast equipment at Fresh FM and Blast FM, both housed in the building.
Recall that the incident, which occurred on August 15, 2025, attracted reactions from several dignitaries including Governor Seyi Makinde and legal luminary Barrister Akeem Agbaje, who have all extended their sympathies to Ayefele.
Similarly, the management of Brave 91.1 FM Ogbomoso has expressed its condolences to Dr. Ayefele and the Fresh FM family. In a statement signed by its General Manager, Amb. (Dr.) Sanjo Saka Felefele, on behalf of the Chairperson, Yeyeluwa Oluwatoyin Odebunmi, the station described Ayefele as a partner in the broadcast industry and prayed for resilience and restoration.
“We wish Fresh FM the strength and resilience to overcome this setback and look forward to their continued success as the organisation recovers. Our prayers are with the entire team during this difficult period, especially as preparations continue for the 10th anniversary of the station,” the statement read.
The Music House fire has since sparked widespread sympathy across the country, with many describing Ayefele as a resilient figure whose contributions to entertainment and broadcasting remain invaluable to Nigeria.
