Residents of Ojebode Community in Ward 10, Ona Ara Local Government Area of Oyo State have received a boost in public infrastructure following the donation of solar-powered streetlights by the Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.
The streetlights were officially presented during a ceremony held at Ilaji Resort, where community members and key stakeholders gathered to witness the initiative aimed at improving safety and enhancing development at the grassroots level.
The installation of the solar-powered streetlights is expected to improve visibility across the community, strengthen security, and encourage socio-economic activities, particularly during nighttime.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Funmilayo commended Sanusi for what she described as a timely and impactful intervention. She noted that the gesture reflects his continued commitment to the welfare and progress of Ona Ara communities.
She said the donation demonstrates true leadership and dedication to grassroots development, describing the Ibadan chief as a dependable figure in advancing the interests of the people.
