Oke Ogun Councilors Forum Pledges Commitment to Makinde’s Re-election

Councilors from 10 local government in Oke ogun area on monday threw their weight behind the re-election of Engineer Oluseyi Makinde as Governor of Oyo state.

The councilors who converged in Kishi, Irepo local government headquarter said they are proud of his administration’s achievements and will do everything humanly possible to ensure his re-election.

Hon.Taiwo Waheed Adekunle Chairman of the forum while speaking on the reasons for the endorsement said the endorsement is a reward for gov Makinde’s unprecedented achievement in the state.

” For over 30 years the road from Ibadan to Oke Ogun was in comatose but Seyi Makinde reconstructed it, he is fixing Iseyin – Ogbomoso, Iseyin to Oyo, Saki -Ogbooro- Igboho roads and many other roads in Oke Ogun.

In Education he gave us LAUTECH Campus in Iseyin, he rehabilitate and construct schools, primary health care centres and many others in the the state.

“Governor Makinde is obviously responding to the yearnings of our people and we believe his continuity will attracts more development to the grassoots.

They appreciated Governor Makinde for appointing Bar Bayo lawal from Kishi Oke Ogun as his deputy and pledge their unalloyed support for his administration and re-election.

Also, the National Financial Secretary of councilors forum of Nigeria Fasasi Quadri Amao and Oyo state chairman of councilors forum Hon Kazeem Arowodana in their separate remark said Governor Makinde and his deputy are worthy leaders who have demonstrated their commitment to the development of the state .

In his lecture entitled “Balanced Grassroots development with no barriers”,Hon Dr Abdulwasil Musah said this is the first time in the history of oyo state that a governor is carrying out developmental project in all the regions.

Also the Chairman Association of local government chairmen in Oke Ogun, Hon Jelili Oyinloye said the councilors should use their influence at the local government to promote development and peace at the grassroot.

Oyinloye also urged them not to allow bickering and political intrics to cause disaffection between them and the executives as well as party members .

Hon Oyinloye who is the Director General of Wolekanle Campaign organization also called on the councilors to support Hon Akinwale Akinwole ,PDP Senatorial candidate for Oyo North Senatorial district and other party candidates in the coming election.

The chairman of Irepo local government Hon.Abdulrashed Adediran Santana harps on the need for unity among the party and continue to support Makinde’s administration.

” We cannot afford to fail, this is our government and we must do everything to retain it beyond 2023 and ensure all the PDP candidate wins , let us settle our differences and make peace with eachother let us re dedicate ourselves and win more people to our side.
