Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde  has signed the 2022 Appropriation Bill into law with a total outlay of N249.7 billion naira.

The  2022 budget christened: “Budget of Growth and Opportunities,” was passed by the State House of Assembly on December 14, 2021.

Makinde assented to the 2022 Appropriation Bill on Tuesday at the Executive Council Chamber, Agodi, Ibadan.

He commended the State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Debo Ogundoyin its timely passage.

He outlined some projects his administration was able to actualized with the 2021 budget adding that it achieved over 60% implementation unlike what was obtainable in the past administrations.

Speaking further, the governor noted that the 2022 budget will aid the completion of some projects which include the four bus terminals in Iwo Road, Challenge and Ojoo. He added that the his administration has increased the internally generated revenue of the from N1.9 billion where he met it to over N3.3 billion.

Another highlight of the event was the signing of Financial Autonomy Bill for the Oyo State House of Assembly. The event had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Head of Service, Commissioners among others.
