Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ogbomoso zone on Saturday inagurates joint campaign committee for the Federal constituency.
The stakeholders also launches operation Deliver Your Unit’ which mandated all leaders to win elections at their various poling units.
At the meeting which was held at Hon Segun Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde’s House in Ogbomoso stakeholders at the meeting includes Party Candidate for Oyo North Senatorial district, Hon Akinwale Akinwole ,House of Reps Candidate for Ogbomoso North South and Oriire Federal constituency Hon Femi Onireti and Sate House of Assembly candidates for the three local government.
The meeting which was directed by Alhaji Gbadegesin Rasaq, Member Oyo state Governorship Advisory Council also had in attendance notable party leaders in Ogbomoso, political appointees and others.
While inagurating
the committee. Alhaji Rasaq Gbadegesin said the decision to form a joint committee is to ensure harmonious working relationship and total victory for the party in the forthcoming election.
” As a party we have put those internal misunderstanding behind us, let us work together as a team so that we will deliver bulk votes for Ogbomoso’, Ogbomoso is crucial to the next election, please let us do this work with utmost sincerity, let all our candidate unite,work together and win elections.
He however caution supporters against spreading unfounded information and rumours that is capable of escalating crisis among candidates
Chief Bayo Bankole, a former commissioner for finance, Hon Taiwo Alagbe and others who spoke at the event said PDP is a party to beat in Ogbomoso and members should work together as one indivisible entity.
Speaking with Journalists after the meeting Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole commended the leaders of the party for bringing everybody under one umbrella and promised to do all witin his capacity to ensure total victory for the party in Ogbomoso and oyo state at large.
‘ We are more stronger and better than before and with this development i can bodly say that PDP will win the next election in Oyo state’
