1979 Set of Ogbomoso Baptist High School OBHS has donated set of furniture worth N1.5m to their Alma matter
They also honoured some of their teachers and principals as part of actives marking forty years if graduating from the set
Oyo state commissioner for Education Profesor Sangodoyin in his remark lauds the ex students for their contributions to the development of their alma mater
Sangodoyin who spoke through the Zonal Inspector of Education Ogbomoso Mr Samuel Oloko said ” Their contribution will complement the effort of government in providing qualitative education for the younger generations.
He said further that the state government under the leadership of Engineer Oluseyi Makinde has is restoring and re positioning the educational sector in Oyo state with provision of text and notebook and other policies which were initiated to relieve the finacial burden of the parent
A member of the Alma Mater, Professor Henry Sangodoyin in his remark said the gesture is to compliment the effort of government in providing qualitative educations flr the younger generations in the state
” We are the pace setter set, we are using this medium to send signals to other set to come and something for the school”
“The principal had listed a number of things we are going to lool into that and do more, this is just the begining, we will not relent on our efforts.’ He added
The school principal Deacon Adedeji Adesoye in his speech said the seat donted are capable of accomodating one hundred students and thanks the old students for their effort.
Highlight of event includes, traditional dance by students of the school, debate competition among othere.
