The Nigerian National League Club Owners and Managers Association has received with rude shock and deep sense of loss the sad demise of Honourable Abubakar Ekene Adams who departed early Tuesday July 16th, 2024 .
The President of the Association, Honorable Chidi Okonkwo in a statement signed by Kunle Oyelese expressed deep sorrow and sadness over sudden departure of our Comrade, who was until death Chairman House Committee on Youth and Sports of the Nigerian House of Representatives.
Ekene Adams was the General Manager Remo Stars and Kada Football Club and an important figure among football Managers and Professionals.
His contribution to Sports development in the country since his election to the House Representatives was just materializing but unfortunately he did not see its success due to sudden passing.
Okonkwo therefore prays for the repose of his soul .
He said his passing is grieving for the entire football fraternity, his family, Kajuru/constituency in Kaduna and our own brother Chief Kunle Soname who’s the mentor and father figure of Ekene. May God comfort us all.
