
The Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments (NCMM), Mr. Olugbile Holloway, on Wednesday, paid an official visit to the National Museum of Unity, Ibadan, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to preserving and promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
During the visit, Holloway engaged with museum staff, inspected ongoing projects, and provided strategic guidance on improving exhibitions, outreach initiatives, and visitor engagement. He emphasized the need for sustained efforts in safeguarding Nigeria’s historical artifacts and making them more accessible to the public.
As part of his visit, the DG planted a tree to commemorate the occasion, commending the museum’s dedication to its mandate. He assured the management of continued support from the NCMM to further enhance its role in cultural preservation.
The museum’s management expressed appreciation for the visit and reiterated their commitment to strengthening its contributions to national unity and heritage conservation.
