NCDC Confirms 553 Fresh Cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control NCDC have confirmed 553 new cases of COVID19 in the country

The details was contained in a tweet in the NCDC tweeter account @ncdc

According to the agency,Lagos records 378, FCT, 52, Delta 23 Edo-22, Rivers-14, Ogun-13 Kaduna-12,Kano-9, Borno-7 ,Katsina-6,Jigawa-5 ,Oyo-5,
Yobe-3 Plateau-3, and Osun-1

9855 cases of #COVID19Nigeria have been confirmed in Nigeria 2856 have been discharged while 273 deatglh have also been recorded so far

Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna state while giving update in his state said “As at 29 May 2020, Kaduna State has 76 active cases of Covid-19 & has discharged 149 out of a total of 232 confirmed cases, with 7 fatalities.”

“The state has tested almost 2000 persons, but case numbers are likely to rise as more tests are conducted in more places”

Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, also explained that twenty-one confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged in the past three days. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 96

“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for the following cases came back POSITIVE:
May 28 – 10 cases, all from iSON Xperiences
May 29 – 15 cases, 10 from iSON Xperiences
May 30 – 5 cases, 2 from iSON Xperiences
So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 282.”
