NBTE Accredits 35 Programmes Listed for Accreditation by The Poly Ibadan

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved all the 35 programmes listed for accreditation by The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

A statement from the Institution signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa FAWALE disclosed that the success could be attributed to the huge support given to the Institution by the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the backing of the Governing Council, and coperation of the Management team, the Lecturers and other Members of staff in the various departments, Unit and Directorates.

The statement further noted that the achievement was a big plus to the Institution as the large number of courses presented attracted huge sum of money for the procurement of equipment and upgrading of facilities to meet the requirements and quality assurance of the NBTE which is the regulatory body for all Polytechnics in the Country.

The NBTE which visited the Institution between 19th and 23rd April, 2022 with a galaxy of experts drawn from various Institutions and bodies across Nigeria to ensure quality assurance of the programmes run by the Institution gave the good news of the success to the Rector, Prof. Kazeem Adekunle ADEBIYI through a letter for the NBTE dated 27th May, 2022.

While pointing out that the programmes will be due for another accreditation in five years, the statement assured all students, intending students, the public and the NBTE that The Polytechnic, Ibadan will adhere to all details and pieces of advice offered during the accreditation exercise to ensure that the Institution retains its position as a foremost Polytechnic in Nigeria.

The accredited prorammes are:

ND Building Technology, HND Building Technology, P-HND Urban and Regional Planning, HND Surveying & Geo-informatics, ND Estate Management & Evaluation, HND Estate Management & Evaluation, ND Quantity Surveying, ND Library and Information Science, ND Music Technology, and HND Music Technology.

Other includes:
HND Sculpture, HND Graphics, HND Ceramics, HND Textile, ND Computer Engineering Technology, HND Civil Engineering Technology, ND Science Laboratory Technology, HND Science Laboratory Technology, (Biology/Microbiology Option), and HND Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option)

The Rest are:
HND Science Laboratory Technology (Physics/Electronics), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry Option), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Biochemistry Option), ND Public Administration, HND Public Administration, ND Banking and Finance, HND Banking and Finance, ND Office Technology and Management, HND Office Technology and Management, ND Local Government Studies, HND Insurance, HND Marketing, HND Business Administration and Management
