Dr. Morohunkola Thomas a notable politician, former Commissioner has been elected as the National President of the Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Boys Association (ICAGSOBA)
Thomas a legal luminary served as commissioner for Education, Information, Youths and Sports, Agriculture and Natural Resources at different times in Oyo State during the tenure of Late Governor Lam Adesina, Director Media and Strategy of the PDD During Alao Akala’s regime and Executive Assistant to late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, immediate past Governor of oyo state.
He was elected during the Annual General Meeting of the Association held at the School premises on Thursday 1st October 2020.
The election which was keenly contested and held under strict compliance with the COVID 19 guidelines at the newly commissioned School hall
Other members of the newly constituted Executive Council include the Mr. Jibolu Aworeni a seasoned Administrator and Businessman, the Secretary General, Mr Solomon Oladokun a seasoned Administrator also a Director in the Oyo State Ministry of Education and currently the Principal of Wesley College Elekuro Ibadan.
Mr Kunle Olatunji a Management Consultant and former Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the former Governor of Oyo State during the last administration also emerged as the Public Relations Officer while Mr. Funsho Adedokun FCA, FCIB, a seasoned Administrator and Banker emerged as the Treasurer.
Others also include Mr Rotimi Obe who is the new Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Oyekunle Bukola the Auditor while Mr Olalekan Wahab is the new Financial Secretary/Organising Secretary.
The immediate Past President of the Association, Hon Nathaniel Agunbiade who presently is the Honourable Commissioner of Lands and Housing in Osun State and Mr Bukola Akindiji the immediate past General Secretary are the Ex Officio members of the newly formed Executive Council.
The new Executive Members have since been sworn in and inaugurated for a 4 year tenure during the AGM which was well attended by delegates and several Old boys of the School founded in 1960 by the CAC Mission under the leadership of Late Oba J.B. Akinyele who was then the Olubadan of Ibadan land
The event also witnesses commissioning of new and refurbished projects funded by the Association
