In a statement personally signed by him, Mogaji Alawode described his installation as a divine privilege and thanked God for His grace, mercy and faithfulness throughout the process.

He particularly appreciated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, for approving and facilitating his installation in accordance with the customs and traditions of Ibadanland.

The new Mogaji also conveyed special appreciation to Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi for his support, encouragement and commitment to the promotion of Ibadan traditional institutions.
