25-year-old Amuda Usman and three of his collaborators including Yunusa Ishola , Zubairu Saeed, and Mohammed Kuri ‘m’ are now cooling their nerves in Police net for threatening to kidnap Isah Usman in Gaa Ogogo via Ikoyi-Ile, Oriire local government area of Oyo State.
The victim Isah Usman ‘m’ of Gaa Ogogo via Ikoyi-Ile area of Oyo State reported to the police that he received series of threat calls by an unknown person (s) using GSM NO. 08082470897 and 08121646274 threatened to kidnap him if he fails to pay them the sum of three million naira (₦3,000,000.00) ransom.
Parading the suspect, CP Adebowale said immediately the case was reported, the police command in synergy with the Department of State Services arrested four suspects on 24th October, 2022 at about 1610hrs in their hideout at Ogogo Orire Local Government Area (LGA) Oyo State, in connection with the attempt to kidnap the complainant.
“During preliminary investigation, the suspects voluntarily confessed to have conspired together, threatened to kidnap one Isah Usman ‘m’.
“Investigation also reveals that the first suspect one Amuda Usman ‘m’ is the brother to the complainants, he masterminded the plot to kidnap his elder brother Isah Usman ‘m’ and that they had earlier succeeded in collecting the sum of one million, five hundred thousand Naira (₦1,500,000.00) from the complainant as ransom.
The police boss hinted that the phone and SIM line number used has since been retrieved from the suspects and they would be charged to court upon completion of the investigations.
