Oyo State Governor, ’Seyi Makinde, has announced a reshuffle of his cabinet, affecting five key ministries in the state.
The changes were conveyed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, and released on Monday.
As part of the reshuffle, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barr. Seun Ashamu, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. His predecessor in that ministry, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, will now head the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, who previously served as Commissioner for Public Works, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In a similar move, Professor Solihu Adelabu, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, is now in charge of the Ministry of Establishments and Training. Hon. Segun Olayiwola, formerly in charge of Establishments, will take over the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The governor directed that the new appointments take immediate effect and urged the commissioners to continue serving with loyalty and dedication to the progress of the state.
