Makinde Distributes Palliatives to LAUTECH Students

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has distributed food items to students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.

The items was distributed wednessday to cushion the social and economic effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on the less privileged and to all group of students in the premises

LAUTECH Joint Christian Movement, Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, LAUTECH Branch, and other notable group of students were among the benficiaries.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Fisayo Ologunde while presenting the items extolled Governor Seyi Makinde for his kind gesture remembering LAUTECH students for such opportunity.

He said the Governor’s gesture was to enable the beneficiaries to have joyous moods in the prevailing economic meltdow.

Ologunde further urged the students to transfer the positive effect it has on other people.

The Vice Chancellor then prayed to Almighty to heal the global world of the ravaging COVID-19. 

Assuring that all necessary precautionary measures will be put in place by the time the university resumed, Ologunde said the caretaker committee has produced nose masks for all students in collaboration with university management.

In attendance was the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr Ige Azeem Oladiran who appreciated Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde and admonished all students to obey the rules and regulations of preventive measures of Covid-19 so as to stay safe.

Others include the Chairman Caretaker Committee Students Union, Mr Anthony Olamide, NANS JCC Chairman, Mr Opakunle and former students of LAUTECH Students Union, Mr Abiodun Oluwaseun Laurel.
