The former Governor of Ekiti State, Engr Segun Oni has obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms, to contest the 2022 Guber Election in the State.

The forms were purchased yesterdayay at the party National Hqtrs Abuja, by his campaign Director Mr Yemi Arokodare.

Director-General of Oni’s Campaign Organization, Hon. Yemi Arokodare while speaking with journalists in Abuja  said the people of Ekiti were waiting for the return of Segun.

“We have come to pick the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to express Segun Oni’s firm and profound interest to contest and win the party’s primaries and emerge victorious at the governorship election in 2022.

” Chief Segun Oni in Ekiti State acceptance by the party is very special and unique in its own way, and it is strategic to the PDP winning the governorship seat in 2022.” he said

Arokodare  explained further that the people of Ekiti state once tasted the administration of Chief Segun Oni from 2007-2010. “For them, it is still the best experience in terms of a people-driven government, good governance and open government.”

Recalled that two former Governor Ayo Fayose who governed the state between 2003-2007 returned to the government house in 2014 – 2018 while Governor Fayemi who replaces Gov Oni after he was sacked by the supreme court in 2010 left in 2014 and returned in 2018
