Bayern Munich chief, Oliver Kahn has slammed Robert Lewandowski after the player publicly announced his desire to leave the club.
The German club whom are desperate to keep hold of Lewandowski for another year when his contract will expire amid strong interest from Barcelona doesn’t want the star forward to leave the club yet.
The reason why Bayern director, Kahn was left furious with what had been said and responded in a provoked manner.
Kahn said: “I can’t tell you why Robert chose this way to communicate his situation. Public statements like that don’t get you anywhere. Robert should know what he has at Bayern. Appreciation is not a one-way street.”
Recall that Lewandowski was quoted yesterday saying: “My story with Bayern has come to an end, I cannot imagine further good cooperation,” he said. “I hope they will not stop me (from leaving) just because they can. A transfer is the best solution for everyone.”
Barca have made the Poland striker their top target this summer.
Also recall that Robert Lewandowski was the German Bundesliga top goal scorer in the 2021/22 season is Robert with 35 goals (36.25 xG).
