LAUTECH Matriculates 9,590 Fresh Students, Emphasises Strict Adherence to Rules and Regulations

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, this morning at a colourful matriculation ceremony formally admitted to 9, 590 new students into the membership of the University community.

The Freshers are being brought in to study for their first degrees in the various Departments of the Institution wholly owned by the Oyo State Government.

In his address at the event, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, admonished the students to count themselves lucky to have been admitted into the University which he said is steadily growing in leaps and bounds since Governor Seyi Makinde led Oyo State Government to take full ownership of the Institution.

He thanked Governor Makinde for being a dynamic and forward looking leader who has changed the narrative of LAUTECH.

He advised the matriculating students to shun cultism and other vices and strive to obey rules and regulations of the University if they must have a successful sojourn in the Institution.

The climax of the ceremony was the announcement of Oladejo Goodluck Olasunkanmi, a 200 Level Medical student with CGPA of 5.0 and Weighted average of 84.18 as overall best student in his 100 Level.
