The suspected kidnappers of the chairman, Iganna Local Council Development Area, Oyo State, Jacob Adeleke, and his driver were reported to have demanded for N200m ransom to secure their release.

The duo were kidnapped on Sunday night at Olosan village, along Okeho-Ado Awaye Road

Adeleke was said to be on his way to Ibadan, the state capital, ahead of a meeting with Governor Seyi Makinde on Monday morning.

His vehicle was, however, intercepted by unknown hoodlums and the two were whisked away.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said, “Information reaching me reveals that he was kidnapped along Ado Awaye- Iseyin Road.
“Effort’s intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits please.”
