The Iyalode of Oyo Empire, Chief Mrs Aderemi Felicia Ilaka is dead.

She is the mother of the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom and former Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde , Chief Bisi Ilaka

She would be 84 on September 5.
Mama who died in the early hour of today is also, the Yeyelejofi of Ijesa land, the YeyeOba of Ikeji Ile, the Iyalaje of Ijebu Ijesa land and the first woman HLM of Ikeja Lagos country club.

Announcing the passage of her mother, Bisi Ilaka, the PDP senatorial candidate in  Oyo Central in the last election said

“With profound sadness and total submission to the will of almighty God, I announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch , Chief Mrs. Felicia Aderemi llaka (The lyalode of Oyo) who peacefully transitioned today, 27th August, 2024.

“We appreciate your love, prayers and support as we mourn Mama’s passing.” The source noted
